phish phest was too good. first night was killer! they're just so good. their rendition of david bowie made my heart skip around. it's the kind of music that just makes your spine twist instinctively. the second day was incredible. best halloween of my life without a doubt. what fun. exile was ultra rockin'. by the third set it all really started zooming by and YEM was mildly life changing, as was the suzy greenberg encore. the rest of the night was far to wild to try to recap in words. let's just say, i'm damn glad i had a partner in crime, and vice versa, because without it i'm not sure what in god's name would have happened to us, but it would have been pretty intense. sunday was nice as well. a drag we had to say goodbye and miss a bit of music but one of the best showers and best rests i've ever taken.

i got too drunk last night and played a show, in that order. then we were in a gated community in cat-city and some guys called us gay, and then i'm playing flip-cup and high fiving a guy over nietzsche. Then KC gently sets a pool chair on a hedge and only crickets are shouting. then today i got one of the best talking heads records for free via robbie and it's spinning currently.

i'm doing my best to master sign language as quickly as i can. yesterday we all played telephone with fingerspelling and it was without a doubt one of the greatest things i've ever done. last night we did pizzas at shelley's and i saw willow for the first time, which was pretty incredible. one of those "my lord i thought it was so much earlier!" type of evenings.

pagan powers, right? some of that shit is sounding good, some gnarly shit. i miss playing with jungles but jos and kc are on their own trip right now which is cool, sure, but i need to fucking jam, it's making me nervous, i can't sit still. on the less antsy end of it, i've been practicing a lot and i'm learning a bit about which scales go where, and what sorts of musical picture frames to put around them.

being in the desert is fine. i love everyone and all, but it's time for me to go. the job hunt has been tough, but i've got a resume now (as well as a comic about making one in the works) and a day of good work lined up monday. hundred bucks. good stuff but it's far overshadowed by my car insurance, desire to relocate, and need for cables and capos and new rigs.

i thought briefly about recapping the past month of my life in great detail, but fuck livejournal, that'd be an extraneous waste of time. all i'll say is i feel amazing. i have an interview in a few hours at panera bread and i can't wait for it to be over so i can get real stoney and feel great about how it went. i'm going to shoot for double jobs (clark's, henry's, the gap!?). imagine how much bread i'd have! i could buy Faberge eggs and cocaine candy dishes. i cold buy all the ratdog tickets, car insurance, gasoline, chronic, and cassette tapes as i like. hell, i could move out. i'm getting ahead of myself as i haven't a nickel to my name at the moment, but whatever, i've got good intentions and a purity of mind and i feel damn good about it, so fuck yeah fest and new bike and vial of lsd come hme to papa.
